Village of Tsalapitsa (Plovdiv District) is located in South-Central Bulgaria. It is part of Rodopi Municipality.

The Municipality of Rodopi covers an area of 668,6 sq. km. (12 % of the territory of the Plovdiv region). The municipality has a favourable geographic location - it is situated in the Thracian plain, at the foot of the northern slopes of the Rodopi Mountains and covers 335 sq. km. of the mountains between Assenovgrad, Mihalkovo and Krichim. The territory of the municipality is crossed by the road Sofia - Plovdiv - Smolyan, the state highway gas-mains going to the Non-ferrous Metals Works - Plovdiv across the villages of Krumovo, Yagodovo and Tzalapitza. Near the municipality, the international airport Mavrudovo can be found.The relief vary - plain, submountainous and mountainous. Forest Fund covers 117,824 decares of which 5,300 decares are private property. 5,628 decares are municipal property. The Climate is continental-transient and mountainous in the high mountain areas.
